: Canada #1 VF, Dark Red, 3 Penny Beaver, tied with Black Ring Cancel on a Domestic Cover from Hamilton to London. Three large margins and close but clear to the right.
Reverse: Black London split circle receiving mark and penciled owner's notations.
Notes: A Very Fine cover bearing Canada #1 with 2002 American Philatelic Society Certificate. The Certificate notes that the extra darkness of the stamp is due to oxidation, it goes on to state that the cover is genuine.
Condition: Very Fine with usual vertical docketing fold not affecting stamp.
Contents: Dateline: Hamilton, 30th July, 1852: M. Fishing of MacKay Brothers & Co., Hamilton, Canada West, acknowledges the receipt of funds and the retirement of a note per draft on the Bank of Upper Canada. Sent to Matthew Colvin of London, Upper Canada
