TINY TINY COVER CORWEN-BODYLLTYN RHUABON DENBIGHSHIRE

STAMPED COVERS OF GREAT BRITAIN

1860 UK #20 Miniature Welsh Cover to Bodylltyn, Rhuabon with Dramatic Rocking "G" Mis-registration

Scott #
20 - Beautiful extremely small Welsh Cover. Right up there with some of the smallest envelopes

Great Britain 1 Penny Red Brown on White Paper, with Large Crown Watermark (type20), perforated 14 x 14, re-engraved, 1857 Issue on miniature cover. The best way to imagine the size of this envelope is simply to look at the size of the stamp. Stamp is missing a corner but an exceptionally clean example of the VERY SMALL ENVELOPE category of collecting; on fine polished, batonne laid, light brown paper. The cover is not toned, the paper itself is light brown. Lovely address to the Hamlet of Bodylltyn, in the Parish of Rhuabon, Denbighshire, Wales. Sent from nearby Corwen, Denbighshire, North Wales. Scarce origin-destination combination.

A similar rocking "G" is reported in Plate 57 in the N-G Position but it does not quite compare.
Although the right "L" does match nicely with Position L-L of the plate.
