Great Britain 4 Pence Rose on white paper 1857 Issue on 1858 cover from Liverpool, England to St. Pauli, Hamburg. Cancelled black Liverpool cds with "466" numeral obliterator cancel. Manuscript "via Ostende" packet directive. Red "P" in Circle paid to destination mark. Backstamped in red "VM/LONDON/DE22/58". Nice example of the 8d rate from England to Hamburg through Ostend: 3½d to England, 3½d to Prussia and 1d for Belgian transit. Nice cover.
