STAMPLESS COVERS OF SWEDEN

SWEDEN – 1843 Stockholm to London

Front:  Black Stockholm CDS 23 June 1843 (Normal Cancellation 10 - Type1) + ms lower left bit Ystad (by way of or via Ystad) + black h/s frco. Stralsund + ms upper left unknown + Red Hamburg Transit canx  "T 30 Jun" in circle Type T1 [used in lieu of Hamburg butterfly canx] which showed that this was a transit letter and was due the 1n8 (in ms) or 1 shilling 8 pence due for carriage from Hamburg to London.  Light ms 10 in upper right corner is likely a listing number (karteringsnummer). Upper left possibly 19 g(rams) weight.
Reverse: Black boxed K.S.&N.P.C./HAMBURG/29 Jun 43 canx + Black boxed KSNPC i.Stralsund 27 Jun (type 2) + faint red London Circle 1 July 1843 Receiving Mark.
Notes: From the Huth Correspondence. Nice example of Stockholm letter through Ystad and Stralsund Swedish offices and passed off to the Hamburg Stadtpost where it was picked up by a British packet for London.  The Red "T" in circle was only in use from 1841 to 1847. Condition:  Fine condition with heavy file folds
