It would be difficult to find a more defining example of the bull's eye
 cancel than that framing Jackson's eye.

Front: US# 63 1¢ blue Franklin on mixed frank cover with US#73 2¢ Black Jack with bull's eye target cancels on Windham, NY to Cincinnati, OH cover. Black Jack is remarkably well centered. The 1¢ Franklin is centered low and left with jumbo margins up and right. There is a horizontal margin crease  in the upper right corner of Franklin.
Reverse: Nothing to note.
Notes: A very attractive mixed frank cover from Windham Centre, NY. The bull's eye target cancel on the Black Jack is quintessential. While perhaps not Socked on the Nose, it is certainly Socked on the Eye and presents a dramatic target bull's eye around Jackson's eye. This is from the Sellew Correspondence and has never before been on the market. ex Gaston.
Condition: Extremely fine cover with brilliant bright colors on both stamps.
